Are you following us on Instagram? If so, you’ve seen that we’ve been posting a ton of denim-inspired images that include everything from jeans (of course) to travel pics to quotes. We’ve curated images that represent—what we believe to be—the Fitcode lifestyle. Whether it’s denim hues or a quote, they’re all things that influence our brand.

It’s officially fall and one of our favorite looks this season is corduroy. We’ve seen flares blow up recently and now corduroy, which makes it clear: ‘70s fashion is back. If you followed any of the trends coming out of New York Fashion Week, corduroy was definitely one you noticed. And we’re welcoming it with open arms.
Denim brands have recently released new corduroy styles. Between the beautiful fall colors and comfort of corduroy, we’ll be wearing these like crazy. Here’s a few styles we love.
We just added new styles from Paige to our denim boutique and our tall gals will be happy! The Leggy is the same as Paige’s super popular Verdugo style, but with an extra long inseam. The Verdugo is popular because it’s one of the few styles out there that’s a universal good fit. It has a mid rise with an ultra skinny fit that hugs your body down to the ankle. The Leggy comes in four different washes (check the links above). All of you long-legged beauties will love this style! Find out if they're in your Fitcode.
One of the latest shoe trends we’ve been loving as of late is lace-up flats. We’ve seen them everywhere and on everyone and anytime a pair of flats is popular, we’re in! Comfortable, chic, and simple. Our kind of combo.
The lace-up flats we’ve seen everywhere are a splurge. But why spend $675 when there are tons out there that are much cheaper. We’ve rounded up a few that are just as cute, but with a better price tag. Enjoy!
Exciting news, denim lovers…

Now back to shopping…
We’re barely approaching fall, but is it too early to talk about spring 2016? Not in the fashion world. Some of the biggest designers debuted their spring 2016 lines at New York Fashion Week and we’re so excited for our future wardrobe (ha!).
So what do we have to look forward to next year in the fashion world? Some major ‘70s-influenced looks. We noticed this trend throughout many of the shows during NYFW. From the hair, makeup, and obviously the fashion—everything was like a flashback to the ‘70s.
There were so many shows and so many gorgeous pieces from designers, but here are a handful of our favorite looks.
It’s only been a few days of New York Fashion Week but we’ve already seen so much hit the runway that we can’t wait to get our hands on. We’ve been following the action on social media (yes, we’re super sad we’re not there in person). BUT, it’s pretty awesome that you don’t have to be there anymore in order to see the shows. Viewing them has never been easier thanks to livestreaming.
We have to say, the show that really caught our eye over the last couple days was from LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s. Everything we saw was so dreamy, elegant, and beautiful. And the fact that it’s for Kohl’s is another plus—because it’s totally affordable. We loved the soft colors and lace and velvet fabrics used throughout the collection.
Below are just a few more looks we loved. The shorts. Those pants. That dress. Give us everything, please.
We’ve got to give it up to Lauren Conrad. She’s come a long way since her days on Laguna Beach and The Hills. Work it, girl.
If you’ve paid any attention to the latest fashion trends and what’s hot for fall, then you’ve seen a serious resurgence of the ‘90s. It seems like every blog, fashion mag, and online retailer has featured this trend and while there are certain pieces we can get behind, there are definitely some that we’ll be passing on (no thanks, platform sneakers and patchwork denim).
As you can imagine, we’re pretty thrilled about certain denim trends making a comeback including overalls and jeans skirts. We’ve already talked about our love for flare jeans. It’s hard to find a denim a-line skirt with buttons that’s flattering and looks good. The one pictured above from Top Shop is one of the cutest styles we’ve seen. We’re digging regular overalls, but we also like short overalls and overall dresses.
The ‘90s fashion revival doesn’t stop at denim. We’re also seeing old-school shoes making a comeback (for better or worse). Who would’ve thought that Dr. Martens or Birkenstocks would be so popular again? We’re loving platform sandals and good ‘ol sneakers like the Keds pictured above.
As a Pacific Northwest company, we can’t forget about the grunge look. Which, by the way, has never looked more stylish. Flannels, ripped jeans, leather jackets...we love it all.
What ‘90s looks are you excited to bring back to your wardrobe?
It’s another holiday weekend, so you know what that means?! Major sales. There are honestly so many great deals out there right now, so shopping for a new fall look is totally justifiable. ;)
If you’re looking for good denim sales, the below brands have great discounted styles.
Of course there are a lot more sales out there than just ones from denim brands. We couldn’t pass up the opportunity to see what Nordies has on sale right now (and it’s a lot!). See above for our top picks.
In addition to Nordstrom, here are a few other sites that has a lot on sale right now.
We hope everyone is having a great Labor Day weekend!
Another closet staple for fall is definitely flannels. We’ve recently seen a lot of ‘90s trends make a comeback. Everything from flare jeans to overalls to crop tops—and of course, flannels. We’re all about comfortable fashion trends, so we’re happy to see so many cute flannels out there right now.
There are many ways to wear a flannel. You can take on the ‘90s grunge look and wear it tucked out of a pair of ripped jeans. Or you could go on the opposite side of the spectrum with a preppy look—skinny jeans, tucked in, with heels. We also love to wear flannels unbuttoned with a tank underneath or around the waist.
When the weather starts to cool a bit, our go-to shoes are definitely booties (to be honest, even when it’s hot, we still wear them). We love that they’re so popular right now, especially ones with a low heel because a girl knows walking in heels isn’t always the easiest. Whether you have a low or high heel bootie, you can wear them for every occasion—work, a night out on the town, hanging out on weekends.
With fall fashion already out, we’ve come across a lot of really great styles. What’s awesome is you can literally find them everywhere and at every price point. We’ve seen a ton of inexpensive booties that look chic.
These are some of our favorite booties we’ve seen, ranging in price from $30 to $300. There are so many out there right now, it was hard to narrow it down to just six, but we love all of the above styles (and colors!).
